BLUE EARTH
The rising of the sea levels threatens the population on earth urgently. BLUE EARTH is both a sculpture and a community of political, environmental and corporate stakeholders who strive to make a difference for our climate.
The physical form of BLUE EARTH is a five diameter circular steel structure, covered with 3000 lights and 10.000 pieces of recycled plastic in all possible shades of blue. Supported by the municipality of Odsherred (DK), local citizens sort their blue recycling plastic in containers at four recycling stations, allocated to the project and mount it on to the structure along with international volunteers.
A circular project of Tomorrow
Based on the assumption that our common climate crises requires common efforts, the project works through co-sponsorships with organizations across sectors. The co-sponsors pre-book the sculpture at a favourable price - the earlier in the process the lower is the price. Hereby the production of the sculpture is made possible. BLUE EARTH will then travel to all the partner destinations, sharing and promoting the partners' projects on it's way.

Re-cycling re-cycling
The circular shape of the physical artwork correlates with the re-cycling idea of the artwork, and the circular economic model, on which the project
is based.
