Diva

Diva is a two meters wide and six meters tall lightening gellyfish made of 500 pieces of mulit coloured plastic waste. It was a commission for the Herlev Library in Denmark where it, after a short exhibition time in the YdreLand Forrest, was exhibited for six months in 2023 as a part of the library's topic of 'light'.

When hanging outdoors the wind makes the giant Jellyfish move and look like it's walking or swimming creating a sense of some otherworldly creature, visiting from another planet.

Symbolically, through its symphony of colours, Diva addresses the topics of diversity and the light that shines when opposites meet and learn to love each other. Like trash is transformed into art, enemies can also transform into friends, if we train our eye to see the potential.
